About Soozy

I have been writing, editing and tutoring English since 1987. I have also worked in publishing for over 11 years. My corporate background and multi-tasking experience have taught me flexibility, honed my detail-oriented eye (while keeping the “big picture”), and shown me the importance of comraderie while pleasing many different departments and clients. I enjoy working hard and being productive. And there are few better feelings than a job well done.

In college, I was an English major. I was appointed English Tutor in a cross-curriculum pilot project in which high-performing English majors helped other majors (Business/Economics, Pre-Med) with their papers. After graduation, I took the Radcliffe Publishing Procedures summer course at Radcliffe College in Boston.

Once in New York, in addition to wearing many hats as Production Manager at Premiere Magazine, I was also asked to be Managing Editor for Preview Magazine, a teaser mini-Premiere that was distributed to movie theaters. At Premiere, I conducted my first celebrity interview with Aidan Quinn. After moving on to Time Warner, in addition to being Production Manager for the Electronic Publishing department, I was asked to be Editor for the Special Project website Astrology Zone. When the Electronic Publishing department folded, I moved to the online promotional department of Time Warner Trade Publishing (home of Warner Books, Little, Brown and Company, Inc., and Time Warner AudioBooks), where I began conducting celebrity phone interviews and became a one-woman production-marketing-editor-writer hub for several sections of the Time Warner Trade Publishing website.

I moved to Atlanta in 2000, and I have worked with small businesses and big corporations alike. I treat each client with the same respect, patience, and top quality of work. I have collaborated with each one to make sure the project is completed to more than satisfaction.

Since having my children, though my hours have changed, my love of writing and solving communication challenges have remained as strong as ever.
